A. Morphine decreases respiratory/oxygen demand, and a patient with bronchopneumonia would have difficulty breathing and require more oxygen. Basically, the doctors are using it to put her in morphine-induced respiratory depression. It will also keep her from getting too anxious and using up oxygen because shes anxious and nervous, and sparing that oxygen to use for vital functions of her body.

Q. I have two baby red headed amazons. One is bigger than the other. They have feathers on its wings. I use a syringe. When I feed them I give like 10cc each. Is this to much for the birds. Any websites?

How much air in a line going to the blood does it take to kill you? Like say an IV line or dialysis catheter?

My dialysis nurse upon runback (or rinseback) saw air in the line (even though the saline bag was not empty) so she stopped the arterial and just ran back (rinsed back) all through the venous line. So this got me wondering, how much air is too much at once? I know some air is absorbed by the lungs but if it is a small amount. But all at once can kill you once it gets to the heart. Is it 10cc? 200cc?

If air travels through the hole in your heart, it can go through the arteries to your brain, causing a stroke, which can be lethal in some cases. Q. I use Kaytee Exact, and my parrot is unsatisfied. His poop is like vomit. Can I change his feeding formula? I'm worried it will upset his stomach. And for example if I'm supposed to feed him 10cc, is it ok for him to only eat 9? Because after he has taken 9cc he will walk away and refuse the last cc. I don't want to force feed him or anything. Thanks!
